PROCESESS::STAGES
This page is dedicated to showing personal sketchbook artwork & focuses on how art can be used to process concepts or ideas from daily life.
Using my sketchbook is central to my work both as an artist & an art therapist. It helps me process my world of past, present, & future.
With each featured artwork, I've included a brief phrase to summarize the energy & intention behind the artwork.

![]() Exploring how to plant an idea for future me & dream of its growth. | ![]() The awake energy of an early summer, late spring day. | ![]() Torn between the need for creative expression & living in "performance mode." |
|---|---|---|
![]() Contemplating what could be next. | ![]() Sorting through old objects as if they are memories in a dream world. | ![]() And how much energy will be poured in each cup? |
![]() Contemplating the sense of safety in sadness & knowing there is a way out, should that path be chosen. | ![]() Symbols and goals for myself, examples include tranquility, safety, royal, centered, balanced, focused and energetic. | ![]() Inspired by a positive conversation shared with a mentor. |
![]() Reflecting on potential & the way ideas can birth new ideas. | ![]() Feeling dense, heavy and large. | ![]() Exploring the concept of having a hidden energy within that isn't shared with the world at large. |
